Joy Is Always An Option

Trouble does not last forever. Even good days don’t last forever. There will always be bad days and those bad times remind you of the hope the good times bring. And our good days remind us how grateful we are for the bad times for making us better. They are working together, both good and bad. Now unfortunately, we have had terrible, rough, difficult, hard, intense, times that lasted so long we wonder where is my happiness? Can I get it back? Where is my peace? We can talk to God and wonder what He’s doing up there. Does he see these tears? Does He understand my problem? And the answer is, He does see you. He does hear you. He does want you to have peace. He does love us. He actually knows our problem better than we do. He knows all we go through. (Psalm 139:4 – Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord, You know it all.) And because Christ knows it all and is always near, that means our joy is never far away. There is always an option. There is always a choice. So remember, no matter if your day is great or not so great, you always have the opportunity to choose to break free. And you have the option to choose Christ to help you break free. Our problems as human beings is that we want to do it all ourselves even when we don’t have to. Remember, when Christ is near, so is your help. So is your peace, your liberation, your breakthrough, your joy. But you decide that for yourself. You can’t wait on you all the time. And part of that comes with a renewing of your mind. Changing those old habits and building new ones that will help make you better. (2 Corinthians 4:16 – “Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.”) And again, all of this comes with us making a decision and understanding we don’t have to stay down forever. We have a Savior that is near who will never leave and He is there for all that we need. Just choose it for yourself.
