The hardest part for me about growing up is being confident and firm about who I am as an individual. About understanding that all that I am as Quinniqua is enough. I finally got to that point when I was in college. I know college seems like a long time to finally be ok with oneself, but the point is once I realized that I didn’t need a ton of friends or the latest outfit or a ton of likes on Instagram or being the most popular, I became more joyful. I realized how God created me is enough. He made no mistake. God knows exactly who I am. Which means I need to know and understand whose I am. I couldn’t walk in the confidence of my own self if I didn’t recognize the one who made me just as I am. The one whose spirit is in me. So how can we stand confidently in whose we are?
By Understanding Why We Were Created Genesis 1:26 – Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” We were created for the splendor and glory of God. To reflect his image in the way we look and what we do. When we demonstrate the spirit of God which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and self-control.
By Understanding What We Truly Need Philippians 4:19-20 – “And my God will fully supply your every need according to his glorious riches in the Messiah Jesus. Glory belongs to our God and Father forever and ever! Amen.” There is a difference between what you need versus what you want. Through life, it’s natural to want things. But when those things you want are determined by others or societal or cultural pressure its really not what you need. Pray to the Lord and have Him help you in focusing on what is needed in your life, especially in your spiritual walk with Christ. He is the true provider for all that we need. Start there.
By Understanding You Are Enough 1 Corinthians 15:10 – “By the grace of God, I am what I am.” In a world where we are constantly comparing ourselves to others, it can be hard to figure out who we are as an individual and feel confident and stand firm in our beliefs. That’s why we need to focus on how God sees us. He sees us as flawless and has given us power within ourselves to know whose we are. We are apart of a kingdom full of women that have understood who they are in Christ and used that power to change the world and the lives around them. You are enough to fulfill the plan God has for you. The only way to do that is by being yourself. You are enough.
