There are things that happen in each of our lives that we can’t change. Big things and small things. And there are things that happen in our lives that we can change. I like when I can make my plans to fit what works best for me. It’s so convenient and takes a load off my mind. Now when those plans change and there is no plan B, I get a little bonkers. Ok, I get totally bonkers. But what if the plan A is your only option? What if circumstances around you alters, but your path towards your goal for your life remains the same? That’s how it is with God’s plan for our lives. There is no plan B. Christ going to the cross was God’s salvation plan for the world. Even when Jesus was betrayed, even when Jesus was scared, even when Jesus was mocked, He still made it to the cross. (John 19:30 – So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.) The plan never changed, even when obstacles came His way. Everything that we go through, good and bad, is all aligned with God’s plan and when we step outside that path, God will always find a way to bring us back. (Romans 8:28 – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.) It all works together. So how do we stay with the plan?
By Remembering The Big Picture 2 Chronicles 15:7 – But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” Keeping in mind any goal is always a good way to stay motivated. When we remember that the plan is not just about us, we can move forward knowing that we are a vital piece of sharing the Gospel to the world.
By Doing It For His Glory 1 Corinthians 10:31 -So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Each day is a new opportunity to execute faith as we execute the plan.
By Keeping Yourself Focused Philippians 3:14 – I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. There will always be trials, obstacles, things that are unexpected that come our way. But we can’t let that detour us from the goal. When we say that we live for Christ, we live to make his name known. To make the most of Him and less of ourselves.
