Who Am I?

Its amazing how God created each and every one of us so unique. It always makes me wonder and marvel at how great God’s mind works, because when you think about it, we all have the same physical features such as, two eyes, one nose, one mouth, two ears and arms and so on. Yet we all have distinct features that make us, us. Along with our talents and personalities and fears, insecurities and strengths. I always want to be sure that we as women are reminded that we are made for a purpose and that the way God has made us in perfect. And its perfect because God makes no mistakes. Now I know we don’t always feel our best everyday, so there are times we have to be reminded who we are in God. And that’s ok if we need to be reminded. I need to be reminded that my children are a blessing and not a burden. I need to be reminded that its not my will, but Gods will be done. So of course, every once in awhile we need to regroup or revive ourselves spiritually. (Psalm 119:50 – Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.) You are more than meets the eye. This is what the Bible says you are. Who we all are.

Galatians 3:26 – “For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” This means we are part of his family.

Romans 8:17 “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” This means we are again apart of his family, but as well are apart of a kingdom that shares in the suffering and the blessings God has for us. And the only way that is possible is by being apart of the kingdom of God.

1 Peter 2:9 – “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. This means that God has called you. Specifically choose you for a bigger purpose.

Song of Solomon 4:7 – “You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.” This means that God sees who for who you are and still calls you his own.

Ephesians 1:7 – “We have been set free because of what Christ has done. Through his blood our sins have been forgiven. We have been set free because God’s grace is so rich.” This means we have freedom. We are no longer trapped or bound by our sins.
