Not Everyone Has To Love You

When I was in high school I was one who really wanted to be validated and as well wanted everyone to like me. I was not a very vocal person. I was and still am an introvert who just created, was nice enough and kept moving forward without ruffling many feathers. Over the years, looking back and now seeing where I am now, I now understand that not everyone has to like you and not everyone has to love you. Nowadays, with social media so intense and prevalent in everything we do, its hard to not feel disappointed if you don’t get enough likes or if someone doesn’t like your post or has a harsh comment about what you said. It’s not necessarily wrong to want validation, but it can cloud you and keep you held in one place if all you are chasing is that like or that love you haven’t experienced. Now we know as human beings having a connection to others is important and feeling connected and not feeling alone is vital. Having others who understand you is good. Even Jesus had the same twelve people with him. So this is not to say that we can not bond and fellowship with each other, cause that is needed to help us grow. So how can we be secure in knowing not everyone has to love you?

Knowing That Christ is The One We Live For Galatians 1:10 – For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. When we realize that there is more to life than achieving our own goals and set plans, we can begin to focus on the one who holds our future and love in his hands. We don’t live to please others. We live for the glory of God.

Knowing You Can Find Encouragement Amongst Other Believers Romans 1:12 – that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine. We can sometimes overlook the fact that fellowshipping together can help us all in knowing we are not alone. Fellowship helps us to know that we can come together and pray for one another and encourage each other with the love of Jesus Christ. We need each other as we progress in our faith and continue to understand that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about sharing the good news, not about getting everyone to like us. We want to make the most of Christ so he can transform the lives of others. The Gospel is not about making the most of ourselves. So we can’t get wrapped up in the need for others to validate us. Instead we need to be caught up in the concerns and the interests of other people who need our help. We are needed for more. More than likes
