Why Me?

Have you ever stopped to think why the Lord uses people to get his message across o spread the Gospel, to do extraordinary things to reveal his glory? Why us? Why you? Why me? I mean, from the outside looking in and even the inside looking deeper, we clearly see in the Bible where it points out our sinful nature and shows how unrighteous we are and that no matter what we can never measure up to God’s standards. And if God wanted to he could just write his message in the sky and boom, everyone would know about the Gospel of Jesus. So seems a bit weird that God would use the least us to promote something so great. For example, with any brand so to speak, we’d want to get the best spokesperson we can find, ya know? That person hat is trustworthy, relate able, likeable, someone who has the whole package to cater to everyone and draw them towards that brand. I won’t lie, i even get certain products because of who their spokesperson is. But God wants to use the ones that are so unlikely to right. The ones that have messed up since the very beginning and the ones who are still messing up now. Yet he wants to use us to fulfill his plan. Why us?

Why Not Me? 1 Peter 2:9 – But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. He. Chose. You. The moment you accepted God’s gift of salvation and realized you needed a Savior, you were adopted into Christ’s family. And you were brought into a life full of a purpose more fulfilling then your own. Because you are the Lord’s, you are now looking ahead to a brighter future that was fit just for you. You were made for his glory and his purpose.

Its Not Just For You Ephesians 2:8 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. We are God’s tools to get the Gospel to as many people as possible. To billions who still have not heard of the name Jesus. We can sometimes take for granted the positions that we are in. The gifts we’ve been given and take a selfish approach in keeping it all to ourselves. But the Gospel is the ‘good news’ and when you hear good news you don’t keep quiet, you tell everybody all about the good stuff. God’s people who are equipped with his spirit; because now you are apart of the family, can go fulfill God’s will without issue because we know all about the goodness of Jesus. We have testimonies, personalities and life lessons that can connect from heart to heart. And that’s something that can connect with anyone because we all have a story and we all need a Savior. God has a very long history of using people that others may deem ill-equipped, or not smart enough or good enough for his will. And its actually been a pretty good formula, so why change now? So why not you?
