I know I have talked about this before, but the past few weeks I’ve experienced so much in regards to how vital it is that we think of others more highly then we do ourselves. Keeping others on our minds and in our prayers. I’ve had a few friends that are close to me at my church and they have been going through so much to the point where they have not been themselves and it has been affecting them in their worship at church and in their faith. I’ve been worried and have talked about my concerns and thought over what to do until finally the Lord spoke to me and told me. ‘You know what to do,’ So myself along with my husband prayed and prayed for our church members, our church and our Pastor. For the past few days we have put the needs and concerns of others above ourselves. We need one another in the church. We need to become more and more aware of the fact that everyone is going through something. Maybe not everyday, but we all are going through something. You never know what people are bringing with them when they come into the church. The upside of it all is knowing that we have all come to the right place, with the right people, to the right God who cares about everything about us. And we are his ambassadors to the world and he needs us to have the mindset of sacrifice and love and selflessness. We need each other and we need fellowship with one another. Why?
- Because Praying For Each Other is Power James 5:16 – Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous can accomplish much. Lets not underestimate the power of prayer. Especially the power of prayer when in fellowship with the believers.
- Because We Need To Encourage Each Other By Faith Romans 1:12 – …that is, that I maybe encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine. You never know just how important you are to another person. For a lot of us we come into the church wanting to experience God and as well wanting to experience the love and joy of those around us as well. By your presence and your faith you can uplift the hearts of many believers.
- Because God Instructs us To Build Each Other Up 1 Corinthians 10:24 – Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor. The Bible tells us many times to encourage each other, to think of others above ourselves and to show love always. It’s not a mistake that God knew how important it is for us to look out for one another by prayer and fellowship. Motivating each other to never give up and to know that your never alone.
We need to stick together. We need to be selfless. We need each other. There is nothing worse then seeing someone in need, ready to fall and doing nothing about it other than watching them fall. Lets look out for one another and pay attention.
