It’s Relational

“The righteous cry out and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.” – Psalm 34 17-19

Last week, I was given some news about a church member of ours who had lost his life. It was immensely said and heart-breaking. Very unexpected because we just saw him not long ago. Unexpected losses like this remind me and so many of us how vital it is to not take things for granted and to be sure you have a true relationship with Jesus. I know so many people including myself, that have lost those close to us and when its time to say that final good-bye we say a lot of good things about them but aren’t truly sure where they stood with the Lord and don’t know where they end up when there life is over. Its a scary thought. But I want to remind you ladies about how important it is to have a relationship with Jesus.

When we connect with Jesus it is truly relational. Like a father has with his child. (2 Corinthians 6:18 – And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,” Says the Lord Almighty.)We are tied to him along with his benefits. Including our home in heaven. And the only way to get there is through God’s son Jesus. Being apart of his kingdom is only for those that are connected to him. And we get connected to him by our time spent in his word and when we connect to God in prayer. I’m still very heart-broken about my brother in Christ, but I know he is in a better place because he had a relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And that relationship holds strong all the way to eternal life with him in heaven. Be strong and be women who are willing to be relational about your relationship with Jesus.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27
