“…when we acknowledge God’s supreme role in our life and set our mind on Him. He enables us to be women of hope.” – Elizabeth George
A lot of the outcomes in our lives can easily come down to us just paying attention to the bigger picture. Being mindful of what’s really important. This is something that I go back and forth with a lot because I’m one that likes to focus on everything but that is practically impossible because nothing really gets accomplished. We can’t be the master of all things. That is God’s job. W e can’t accomplish the purpose God has for us until we realize God’s role in our life is supreme and is vital to pay attention to. So why? Why be mindful of God’s role in our lives? (John 15:5 – “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”) Well, for one, because it is God’s role to equip us with all we need to live a life that is pleasing to him. If we are not mindful of his spirit, his word, his instructions, then we lose site of the purpose God has for us.
All that we are is wrapped up in who God is. He created us in his image, breathed his spirit into us and gave us the gift of salvation. God demands our attention and obedience. But are we willing to pay attention to what he requires? Are we willing to make an effort to seek his will? Are we willing to follow him completely?
Deuteronomy 5:33 – Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess
