You alone created my inner most being. You knitted me together inside my mother. I will give thanks to you because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this. Psalm 139:13-14
As women I think its very hard for us to feel as though we can’t be better or attain greater without linking ourselves to better things or better people. In high school I wanted friends. Not too crazy, most teenagers want to have friends, right. I felt if a had more friends or even associated myself with those people really liked, then I’d be liked. Not too crazy of a concept. But anyway, I thought that would elevate me to place of popularity, a place of worthiness. It took me awhile to figure out that that would not change anything. I was still Quinniqua and no matter how many ‘friends’ I’d try to gain it wouldn’t define me. Now we can be defined by a lot of things and we all know we can carry alot of titles with us, daily. So what makes us great? How do we determine what makes us great?
Let’s start with Genesis. In Genesis 1:27 it reads, ‘So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created.’ So for starters, we are created ladies by tge Master. Who breathed his spirit in us and formed us to fit his image. That’s enough to make all of us smile to know that he created us so special and not thecsame as the earth or the animals, but shaped from his likeness.
Also in Ephesians 2:10 it states, ‘For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.’ So again God even sees us as a masterpiece. He is truly the artist of our lives. Creating in us something new and better. Transforming our lives for the better each day.
God wouldn’t have created us for less. He created us to do more because of what he’s planted inside us. You. Me. Know your greatness is from God and you’ve had it feom the beginning. No man, woman, title, postion can change that. You are already great.
