It’s been said that the only constant in life is change. And I will agree with that. Our lives from when we are born til the day we die of all kinds of change. We can’t get away from it. Emotionally, physically, mentally and so on. Change has no respect of persons. But keep in mind not all change is bad. Im glad ive changed and have grown up and dont dress and act the same way I did when i was in high school. Boy those were some interesting times. So not all change should be rejected. Like the changing of ones mind. Ones way of thinking. The bible says in Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world,but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
So…Why Do It?
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
We all can get stuck in our ways, our day to day, our routine. For alot of us it keeps us sane. I know it does for me, so much that id anything detours from my plan or routine I practically have a melt down. It all starts with our thoughts. God wants to revive us; renew our spirits each day. We just need to let Him in so He can work on us. Allowing God to transform us from the inside out. If we say we’re apart of the family of Christ, then shouldn’t we try to be like-minded as the one whose the head of our lives? We all can use a refresher, so why not rely on the one whose mercies are new every morning. (The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:22-23)
Once we gave our lives to the Lord He made us new, pouring His spirit into us. Providing us peace and joy each day. Who doesn’t want that?
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. -2 Corinthians 5:17
